Siren triggering conditions
The siren sounds intermittently and the hazard warning lights flash for about 30 seconds when the system is triggered by any one of the following:
Unlocking a door with the key or an inside door-lock knob.
Forcing open a door, the bonnet or the liftgate/boot lid.
Opening the bonnet by operating the bonnet release handle.
Switching the ignition ON without using the push button start.
The intrusion sensor detects a movement in the vehicle.
The system will be triggered again (up to 10 times) if one of the above conditions remains.
Disconnecting the battery terminal (the hazard warning lights do not flash).
The system will be triggered about 10 times.
If the battery goes dead while the theft-deterrent system is armed, the siren will activate and the hazard warning lights will flash when the battery is charged or replaced.
