Storage Compartments

 


Keep storage boxes closed when driving:

Driving with the storage boxes open is dangerous. To reduce the possibility of injury in an accident or a sudden stop, keep the storage boxes closed when driving.

Do not put articles in storage spaces with no lid:

Putting articles in storage spaces with no lid is dangerous as they could be thrown around the cabin if the vehicle is suddenly accelerated and cause injury depending on how the article is stored.

Close Warning

 


Do not leave lighters or eyeglasses in the storage boxes while parked under the sun. A lighter could explode or the plastic material in eyeglasses could deform and crack from high temperature.

Close Caution

Overhead Console (Some Models)

This console box is designed to store eyeglasses or other accessories.

Push and release to open.

Glove Compartment

To open the glove compartment, pull the latch toward you.

To close the glove compartment, firmly press in the centre of the glove compartment lid.

Centre Console Tray

 


Never use a cup holder to hold hot liquids while the vehicle is moving:

Using a cup holder to hold hot liquids while the vehicle is moving is dangerous. If the contents spill, you could be scalded.

Close Warning

A cup or small items can be placed on the centre console tray using the centre console divider.

The centre console tray is large enough to place a small item when the centre console divider is not in use.

Cargo Securing Loops

 


Make sure luggage and cargo is secured before driving:

Not securing cargo while driving is dangerous as it could move or be crushed during sudden braking or a collision and cause injury.

Close Warning

Use the loops in the luggage compartment to secure cargo with a rope or net. The tensile strength of the loops is 196 N (20 kgf, 44 lbf). Do not apply excessive force to the loops as it will damage them.

Cargo Sub-Compartment (Some Models)

The cargo sub-compartment is located under the luggage mat, and it can be used to store small items.

(With luggage board)

 


  • Do not apply excessive force to the luggage board when setting it up. Otherwise, it could deform or damage the luggage board.

  • Return the luggage board to its original position before driving the vehicle. If the vehicle is driven with the luggage board set up, it could cause an unexpected accident.

Close Caution
  1. Lift up the luggage board.

  2. Pull the luggage board outward a little and insert the opposite end into the holders so that the luggage board stands.

     

  3. Lift the luggage mat.

Luggage Board (Some Models)

When using the luggage board in the upper level

 


Make sure the luggage board is securely inserted into the grooves. Otherwise, the luggage board may detach while the vehicle is being driven or during sudden braking resulting in injury or damage to the luggage board.

Close Caution

Insert the luggage board into the left and right grooves.

When using the luggage board in the lower level (Some Models)

 


The luggage board can only be used on the lower level on the following vehicles.

  • Vehicles equipped with a flat tyre repair kit.

  • Vehicles equipped with temporary spare tyre T125/90D 16 98M .

 

If the luggage board is used improperly, it cannot be secured properly which could result in damage to the luggage board or an accident.

Close Caution

By placing the luggage board on top of the luggage mat, more space is available for placing taller items.

  1. Lift up the luggage board and pull it outward.

     

  2. Place the luggage board on top of the luggage mat.

     

 


When using the luggage board on the lower level, make sure that it is placed horizontally.

(European models)

The front part of the luggage board folds up on vehicles equipped with the sub-woofer.

The luggage board can be placed horizontally by sliding it towards the vehicle front until the front part of the luggage board folds up.

Rear Coat Hooks

 


Never hang heavy or sharp objects on the assist grips and coat hooks:

Hanging heavy or sharp-ended objects such as a coat hanger from the assist grips or coat hooks is dangerous as they can fly off and hit an occupant in the cabin if a curtain air bag was to deploy, which could result in serious injury or death.

Close Warning

Always hang clothes on the coat hooks and the assist grips without hangers.
